ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
2020-2021
New Students: New students must enroll in person. All new students will need to attend onsite enrollment on either July 30th or July 31st from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Council Grove Jr/Sr High School commons.
Any students who move into USD 417 after July 31st will need to visit the office of the school the student will be attending to complete the enrollment process.
Returning Students: For returning students only, online enrollment will open up on July 6th and will end on July 24th. If you need assistance with the online enrollment tool between July 6th and July 24th, please contact the district office at 620-767-5192. Any returning students who do not complete the enrollment process online between July 6th and July 24th will need to attend the onsite enrollment at the CGJSHS Commons Area between 1pm and 7pm on July 30th or July 31st. In order to enroll as a returning student you will need a "snap code". These have been delivered via email to each student's primary contact. If you did not receive a snapcode for your student, please contact the district office at 620-767-5192.

Free and Reduced Lunch Application: The application will be done online this year and will go live on July 1st. Click Here to fill out the online application.
Our goal is to make the enrollment process as convenient as possible while trying to collect all the information necessary to ensure your student has a successful start to the school year. Please ensure that students are enrolled by July 31st. If you have any questions, please contact the district office at 620-767-5192.

2020-2021 Fee Information
Reduced or waived fees may be available for students qualifying for reduced or free meals.
Please use the following fee information:
Preschool Enrollment Fees: $0
Grades K-12 Enrollment Fees: $75 (includes any consumable, textbook, activity, and technology fees)
(Additional fees may be charged for workbooks, periodicals, gym uniforms, etc.)
School Meals Information
Lunch and breakfast are served at each attendance center beginning the first day of school. We encourage parents/guardians to use the online application process for free/reduced meals, which can be completed during enrollment, or at any point during the year by accessing the link on the district website's homepage, but physical applications are also available for download above and at each school. You may also request that we mail an application to you.

Legal Requirements
Students under 16 years of age must be in school under Kansas law. No pupil will be admitted to kindergarten who will not be the age of 5 by September 1. Birth certificates must be presented on enrollment. No pupil will be admitted to the first grade who will not be the age of 6 by September 1, unless that student attended kindergarten in the previous year. Any person entering Kansas schools for the first time must present a Kansas certification of immunization against Diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, measles (rubeola), meningitis, mumps, pertussis (whooping cough), poliomyelitis, rubella (German measles), tetanus, and varicella (chickenpox).
