Dear Parents,
This week we have been learning about sequencing events. We learned two songs called, “In the Morning” and “In the Evening” to help us with these concepts.
We tasted jelly beans for Tasting Tuesday (Thursday, this week) I introduced the letter J and we learned the magic sound J makes. We learned the sign language sign for J and jam. We also learned the animated alphabet gesture for the sound J makes. (juggling) Ask your child if he or she can show you any of these.
Thank you for bringing items to share that start with the letter I. We had an iguana, icicle, real ice cubes, an igloo, instrument, infant, insects and an invitation.
Your child will need to meet me in the classroom at 5:45 Thursday evening. Mrs. Bolieu has asked the students to wear nice clothes and their smiles. We will be the first group to sing with the morning preschool. We will be on the front row and will sing three short songs. After the students are done singing they will be dismissed to their parents in the audience.
We celebrated Ms. Lora’s birthday on Monday with pizza! We also celebrated our high school volunteer, Miss Shelbie‘s, birthday on Friday. Happy Birthday Ms. Lora and Miss Shelbie!
*Send coats, hats and gloves (marked with your child’s name or initials) to school for the colder days. We try to go outside everyday to get some fresh air.* We went to the gym this week to play since it was too cold to go outside.
Enjoy the snow and stay warm! Ms. Shari
