Weekly Report 12/04/09

This week:  Letter I, Share I items on Friday, comparing objects

Next week: Letter J, Holiday program December 8th at 6:00 p.m.  Progress reports.  Share J items on Friday.

Dear Parents,
This week we have been learning about comparing objects by graduated sizes. (small, medium, large/big, bigger, biggest/small, smaller, smallest)  We learned a song called, “I Had a Dream.”

We tasted icing on graham crackers for Tasting Tuesday.  I introduced the letter I and we learned the magic sound I makes.  We learned the sign language sign for I and itch.  We also learned the animated alphabet gesture for the sound I makes.  (itching) Ask your child if he or she can show you any of these.

Thank you for bringing items to share that start with the letter H.  We had a hat, harmonica, helmet, heart, hummer, horse, helicopter and we all brought our hands and hair.

We went to music this week to practice our songs for the program. We did a very nice job listening to Mrs. Bolieu and playing the instruments she let us use.  I hope all of you can attend the program.  Mrs. Bolieu has put her creative talents to work to organize a very nice program that you will not want to miss.  Your child will need to meet me in the classroom at 5:45 Tuesday evening.  Mrs. Bolieu has asked the students to wear nice clothes and their smiles.  We will be the first group to sing with the morning preschool.  We will be on the front row and will sing three short songs.  After the students are done singing they will be dismissed to their parents in the audience.

*Send coats, hats and gloves (marked with your child’s name or initials) to school for the colder days.  We try to go outside everyday to get some fresh air.*

Stay warm!     Ms.  Shari
