Weekly Report 11/20/09
This week: Letter H, Share H items on Friday, Sorting objects
Next week: Letter Review, Thanksgiving, No School on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Dear Parents,
This week we have been learning about sorting objects with one and two attributes. We learned a song about this called, “Putting Our Toys Away.” You can help your child by sorting objects around your home.
We tasted hominy for Tasting Tuesday. I was surprised how many of our students liked hominy! I introduced the letter H and we learned the magic sound H makes. We learned the sign language sign for H and house. We also learned the animated alphabet gesture for the sound H makes. (harmonica) Ask your child if he or she can show you any of these.
Thank you for bringing items to share that start with the letter G. We had two giraffe’s, a gun, grain in goldfish crackers, a guitar, Curious George, glasses, goggles, a green dog, glue, ghost, a Gallop book, and Gerber baby food.
We celebrated Lance’s 5th birthday on Tuesday. Happy Birthday Lance!
We stated going to music this week to practice our songs for the program. We did a very nice job listening to Mrs. Bolieu and playing the instruments she let us use.
Have a great weekend!
Ms. Shari
*The Christmas program is set for December 8th. Mark your calendars.*
