Weekly Report: 8/21/09
Dear Parents,
We are getting in the swing of things here at Preschool! Routines and rules are hard to adjust to sometimes. We have been working on lining up with our hands to our side, voices off, walking feet and staying in line when we walk down the hallways. The students are doing a great job at this already! When the children first arrive at school; they hang their book bag up, choose which kind of milk they want (white or chocolate), go to the bathroom, and play with toys at the tables that increase their fine motor skills. We drew our self portraits this week to go in their portfolios.
Thank you for sending your “All About Me” books and their preschool license! The books are decorated so nicely and the children love sharing about themselves and their family. They are displayed in the classroom library, please stop by and look at them when you get a chance. If you have not sent your “All About Me” book or the preschool license to school yet, please do so.
We currently have 14 students and 3 teachers in the classroom this may change if new students move in and I will let you know so you can plan for snack accordingly.
Tuesday will be library day. We will go to the library and the students will be able to choose a book to take home and share with you. Please, return the books by the next Tuesday so they can check out another book.
We have a new student, Mandy Jo. We want to welcome her to our class. We also have a high school volunteer, Katelin and we love to have her in class!
Have a great weekend!
Miss Shari
