Enrollment Letter

Dear Parents,                                                                        

Your child has been accepted in the early childhood special education preschool program at Council Grove Elementary.   This program is designed for students who have been identified with an exceptionality and for typically developing peers.  

Enrollment is being held at Council Grove Elementary, August 4^th and 5^th from 12:00-7:00 pm.  Please enroll your child at this time or call the elementary office at 620-767-6851.  I know plans can change over the summer and if you do not wish your child to attend please let me know by the enrollment date. 

Our school day runs from 12:40-3:10 pm daily.  We follow the USD 417 calendar with in-services, snow days and vacations.

We serve snack and milk daily.  The milk is paid for, but I do ask students to bring a snack to share with the class.  I will have a calendar with your child’s name on the date when it is time to bring their snack.   These will be handed out on the first day of school. 

School supplies your child will need:  a back pack/book bag, a two pocket folder, crayons (16), markers (8), a set of paints, a box of Kleenex, 5 clear sheet protectors, a small package of play-dough and a small package of Zip-lock baggies.  If any of these items are a burden for you to purchase, I will have a supply that I can access for your child.

I am excited about the upcoming school year and getting to know you and your child better.
