USD No. 417 Transportation
Please note all route times are approximate. Students should be ready to board the bus at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Times vary and students move in and out of our school district. Routes vary each day due to student illness, plans following school dismissal, and activities.
The following links provide information on both Prairie Heights area transportation and Council Grove area transportation. If your student is assigned the Sunshine Bus and plans to be transported home following dismissal -- please make sure you find the correct PM bus - as the sunshine bus only transports in the morning. The alternate bus will be either the horse bus or the butterfly bus.
The bus lists include ALL possible student stops although many do not ride on a regular basis -- and some only in and emergency type situation.

The following form must be on file at the office for students to ride the After School Sports Busses -- for some of the official stops- generally those that do not stop at a school.
Unified School District #417 serves the students of our 537 square mile district with 18 regular bus routes. In addition we have daily runs to the Flint Hills Technical College in Emporia and three after-school athletic routes that return student athletes to their communities. USD #417 averages 3.9 activity trips per school day. Approximately 1,800 miles are traveled by USD #417 vehicles each school day.
