Reading
The USD 417 Reading Subject Area Committee (SAC), with representatives K-12, created our local reading curriculum during the summer of 2007. This curriculum was finalized during the 07-08 school year. Our local curriculum is aligned with the Kansas Reading Standards as well as being aligned from grade level to grade level K-12. The focus of each grade level is stated at the beginning of each document. USD 417 students are expected to master each item of each grade level or course.
