Prairie Heights Elementary School
by Sue Mulryan
Well, we are off to a strong start this school year. In the elementary school, classroom guidance is focusing on the Pillars of Good Character. We covered Caring through lessons on kindness in September, and are now focusing on honesty in addressing the character trait of Trustworthiness. Next month, November, the character trait is Respect. The students will have lessons on honor, tolerance, and diversity.
My assistant, Dr. Rosser Davis, helps to illustrate many of the lessons we teach in classroom guidance. Dr. Rosser is a certified Therapy Dog and is in the schools daily. His health records are on file at Prairie Heights Middle School.
Please contact me anytime you have questions about your student and what I am doing in the schools. My cell phone number is (785) 466-3212. You are also welcomed to call me at home in the evenings at (785) 482-3266.
