1-to-1 Technology is Coming To USD 417!
The 1-to1 technology program will allow every student in grades 7-12 to have a personal Chromebook assigned to them as part of their enrollment at USD 417. Students in grades 7-12 will be allowed to carry their Chromebook with them to and from school to work on homework and school assignments. Families and students in grades 7-12 are invited to attend a community forum where they will have the opportunity to ask question and gather information about the new program that will start when students return to school from Christmas Break. In order for a Chromebook to be issued to individual students, there are new district policies and user agreements that both students and parents will need to read, sign, and return to the school office. These documents must be signed and returned to the school office before a student will be issued a Chromebook. The community forums will be held on Wednesday, December 5th and Wednesday, December 12th in the high school commons area. Each meeting will start a 6:00pm and will last until approximately 7:00pm. The purpose of these forums is to allow families and students to look over new policies and ask any questions about the new program. The 1-to-1 program at the Jr/Sr High School has been made possible through a grant the district received from Google. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students, staff, families, and communities! If you have any questions, please contact the district office at 620-767-5192.
Thank You!
