Parents, Community Members, and Stakeholders,
USDA has new proposed updates to the School Nutrition Standards.
Per the USDA Food and Nutrition Service Website – (This proposed rule - Child Nutrition Programs: Revisions to Meal Patterns Consistent with the 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans - is the next step in an ongoing effort toward healthier school meals that USDA and the broader school meals community have been partnering on for well over a decade.)
USDA is looking for your comments, opinions, and general feedback for each proposed nutrition standard.
USDA is looking at
- Added Sugars
- Milk
- Sodium
- Whole Grains

Please take a look at these standards that USDA are requesting and make a comment if you want change, don’t want change, have any kind of an opinion on what/how your child eats. This is your time to talk about it, don’t wait and miss your chance to be heard. You have till April 10th 2023 to make your comments.
