Books at Reading Ranch

Reading Ranch

Shelf full of books

We have received two pallets of books this week.  OVER SIX HUNDRED BOOKS!!  This picture doesn't even begin to do it justice because this is just what I could fit in this trophy case. This is about half of the books that we have to GIVE AWAY to Reading Ranch kiddos.  They are going to TAKE THEM HOME to KEEP!!  Sorry for the caps, but I'm very excited.   So many of our Reading Ranch kiddos tell us that they would like to read more, but they don't have any books at home.  I know that there are many avenues for kids to receive books, but there's not reason not to have another.  So, each child who attends Reading Ranch at CGES and PHES this year, will go home with at least 10 books during the year. These books are all brand new, hardcover books.  Many are story collections.  Each was $1.00 from First Book.  In addition to these, we also have boxes and boxes of RIF books that Joyce Heilman has so generously gifted to our program.  This is great news that I wanted to be sure and share.

Thank you!  And a HUGE thank you to the custodians for bringing the boxes over.
