Aron Dody will be the new Superintendent of Schools beginning on July 1st.  The USD Board of Education approved his two-year contract at their meeting on February 22nd.

Dody attended Emporia Sate University, where he recieved a bachelor of science degree. He also received a master of science in Educational Administration from Emporia State University.

Dody has been nominated for the KASB Leadership of Tomorrow class of 2015-2016, as well as being selected by the Greenbush Services Center to serve on their Leadership Institute executive team awarded the "One Person Can Make A Difference" award from Emporians for Drug Awareness.

Dody is a member of the United States Administrators of Kansas and the American Association of School Administrators. The contract extended by the USD 417 Board of Education stipulates the Dody must reside within the district boundaries. Dody's contract will begin on July 1 and run until June 30, 2020. He will be compensated $113,500 annually, along with a health insurance stipend of $14,500.
