Thank you!
Kindergarten Parents,
I want to thank you for allowing me to teach your wonderful children! This is a great group of kids. They are so eager to learn and willing to try all of the new opportunities that school provides. We are getting into a routine and the kids are adjusting quickly to the fast-paced, hectic time schedule that CGES provides.
We are learning the letters of the alphabet and spelling words. As of the end of August, we will have learned P, U, and O. We will have spelled pup and pop. We are also working on writing our names with a capital letter at the beginning and lower case letters following.
We have been working on our shapes and colors in math.
Play time is a favorite and everyone is sharing well. The kids have also shared their toys from home very nicely. It is fine with me to bring toys from home and several enjoy taking their toys out to recess. I remind the kids that they are responsible for their own toys.
The snacks have been delicious! The children have enjoyed everything. If your child has not cared for the snack that day, I have encourage them to try it, however, a substitute snack will not be offered.
Rest time is going good. There has been a few nappers, but I do wake them up so that they do not miss out on snack time or recess. With them knowing that they will not miss out on anything, they are resting better.
This year is starting off great! We have had a few minor misbehaviors but nothing serious. Just keep asking your child what they learned in school each day and do not take "Nothing" for an answer. We are learning something everyday!
Thanks again for the wonderful kids, you should be proud of yourself as a parent!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nichole Hensley
