CGMS Tech Lab Classes
Tech
Lab consists of 14
modules. Students are enrolled in one of 14 modules usually with a
partner. There is a guidebook with directions. A program called
Admin is installed on each computer for further content
information. Activities are assigned and computerized tests are
taken. A design brief is done for a culminating project. There are
also two essays called Critical Writings that are done during the
rotation.

VPL
stands for Virtual
Prescriptive Learning. Students work individually on the computer
taking an assessment test and then work through the assigned
lessons that are determined by how well the questions on the
assessment test were answered.This class is a Pass/Fail. 80% is the
score given because that is the % that the student has to attain on
each lesson.

Keyboardingis accomplished through the use of All the Right Type software during the first semester. Students work on instructor prepared activities and tests on quia.com the second semester. They also perfect their keyboarding skills using internet games from various sites. Click on the link for either 6th grade or 8th grade on this site to view keyboarding assignments.
