Starting to Put on Finishing Touches
The construction crew is starting to put in some of the finishing touches to the new high school addition. The bathrooms are getting the new tile floors and hallways and rooms are getting coats of paint.
The doors between the new addition and the auditorium are now in place.
The truss work for the gym ceiling is completed. The crew is now putting on the first layer of decking which takes the construction one step closer to making the gym weather proof.
More sheet rock has been added to the commons area and the ADA locker rooms. The finishers have covered up the seams and screws and most walls have received their first coat of paint.
The painters have started to put the final colors on some of the concrete walls in the commons area to give the walls the feeling of Blue and Gold pride. As I walked through, I could get a better mental picture of the finished product. There is still a long ways to go, but when the painters start adding color, the end does not seem so far away.
