Career-Technical Education (CTE)
UNDER CONSTRUCTION...
The curriculum area called Career-Technical Education (CTE) includes the following:
- K-5th Grades Technology Curriculum
- 6th Grade Computer Applications
- 7th & 8th Grade Business Essentials
- HS Business Pathways: Business Entrepreneurship & Management and Business Finance
- HS Agriculture Pathways: Agriculture Science and Power, Structural, & Technical Systems
The curriculum for grades K-8 was rewritten and updated by the K-12 Tech Subject Area Committee (SAC) in June of 2011. This new curriculum will be piloted during the 2011-12 school year. HS courses in CTE Pathways are updated yearly. Our local curriculum is aligned with the Kansas Technology Literacy Standards and the Common Core Standards as well as being aligned from grade level to grade level K-8.
